The early-stage concept. This phase explores layout options, spatial planning, and overall design direction to establish a strong foundation for your project. The ‘sketchy’ part of the project.

The refined-concept stage. Development of detailed plans, materials, finishes, and key design elements. This phase ensures the design is cohesive, functional, and executable.
Kit of Parts (KOP) Package
A standardized set of design elements and specifications that can be replicated across multiple locations. This package ensures consistency, efficiency, and streamlined implementation for scalable projects.
Millwork and fixture design
We design tailored millwork and fixtures that bring your space to life. This includes detailed drawings and specifications for fabrication, ensuring each piece is both functional and aligned with the overall design vision.

ABOUT ME
Hello!
Hi, I’m Tania Aguilar-Noguez, founder of habitan.
With over 15 years of experience in the architectural and design industry I’ve had the opportunity to work across a wide range of environments. This includes hospitality, retail, commercial, QSR’s, industrial, residential and educational projects. I’ve also had the fortune of living in different places, including Mexico City (my hometown), New York City, Costa Rica, Ohio, and now California. Each of these experiences not only has enriched me culturally, but has shaped how I think about space, not just as something we design, but as something people feel, move through, and connect with.
habitan is a new chapter that brings together everything I’ve learned into a more personal and intentional practice. While the studio is new, its foundation is built on years of hands-on experience, collaboration, and continuous growth.
I believe that thoughtful design can elevate everyday life. For me, the most rewarding part of this work is creating spaces that feel purposeful, human, and memorable. This continues to guide my work as I grow habitan and pursue architectural licensure in California.
